Position Summary 

Digital Arrow has an immediate opening for a visionary Art Director to lead and expand our studios art department. This unique position requires an experienced, creative, talented and motivated leader. Your day-to-day will include art vision definition, upkeep of quality and style in all things art and working together with design, production and engineering to produce AA and AAA projects at Digital Arrow.

Responsibilities 

  • Define the vision for the art teams consisting of different disciplines and levels of experience
  • Supervising all artists from initial concept to the release date of the game
  • Ability to make a direct contribution to the creation of art through hands on examples
  • Collaborate with Creative Director, Tech, and Production teams to deliver on key milestones
  • Give input on the scope of the game, schedule and assign the development to an art team member in collaboration with production
  • Actively accepts and provides direction to the art team
  • Ability to work with the Creative Director to ensure consistency between vision of all art and game design
  • Influence the technical and aesthetic processes in order to realize the vision
  • Understanding of modern games and their artistic range
  • Creation and maintenance of all art production documentation, reference atlases and other art related reports.
  • Take part in various art production tasks as the vision holder in all art things at the studio

Qualifications 

  • Exceptional portfolio that exhibits personal and project artistic accomplishments
  • Exceptional visual and technical understanding in rendering and asset creation for real-time games
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D computer graphics software
  • Knowledge of the constraints and optimization related to real-time game engines
  • Knowledge of cinematic art production
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, not mandatory but desirable, a big plus
  • A gamer (ideally game industry history, but being a passionate gamer is great too)
  • Fluent English (writing and speaking)
  • Flexibility for change and handling a variety of amazing projects simultaneously
  • Self-driven – it’s a senior position and you won’t be handed a task list, you’ll be expected to identify key opportunity areas and prioritize accordingly
  • Excellent communication, time-management and organizational skills
  • Task driven, self-motivated, proactive
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities

Required Experience

  • Experience with at least 2-5 published game titles
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with art direction leadership experience across industry leading games or entertainment

  • Bachelor degree in Art/Design

Localization Manager

Location: Novi Sad

Availability: full time position

Position Summary

We’re looking for an energetic and organized person to join our team and to build amazing games together with us. As a Localization Manager, you’ll manage a multilingual game localization pipeline: you will be handling the management of translation and adaptation, audio, integration, and linguistic quality assurance of a product from a source language, mostly English, to several other languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese etc).

Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with game designers and other team members to keep track of all localization needs for the project
  • Add, remove, modify or otherwise handle text strings upon request from the production team and according to project requirements 
  • Prepare and export localization documents and accompanying materials for the localization process
  • Communicate with external parties and coordinate efforts between the production team, translation team and localization QA
  • Take part in the implementation process of localized assets 
  • Manage the full localization pipeline to ensure all localization requirements meet high quality standards and deadlines
  • Analyze the game content from the localization perspective and set textual guidelines for the project
  • Maintain existing and improve all work processes within your line of work, create and handle documentation related to localization pipeline
  • Write concise reports for your superiors in timely manner

Qualifications 

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and insight skills
  • Experience with virtual teams from different parts of the world
  • Good knowledge of modern project management methods and tools (JIRA, Redmine, Trello, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of game industry localization processes and potential bottlenecks/risks, both general and language-specific
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Required Experience

  • At least 2-5  year of professional experience with localization projects in the games industry, including full audio localizations

Preferred candidates with

  • Experience working with localization QA, preferably with games
  • Understanding of video game production and interest in technology and languages
  • You have hands-on experience with project set-up, assignment, and tracking within large and complex projects
  • The knowledge of any additional languages is considered a major plus

Sound Designer/Implementer

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Sound Designer/Implementer to join our team and build amazing games together with us. We are a strong team that is pushing the bar for high quality experiences and we are looking for future team members who will join our vision and work on amazing projects with us. We are excited to meet you!

Responsibilities

  • Design, mix and edit environmental and gameplay sounds
  • Implement sound effects to the game, using custom engine tools
  • Help establish the audio aesthetic for the game.
  • Work with programmers and designers to explore new audio features, system design, and implementation processes for the game.
  • Troubleshoot and correct any audio anomalies
  • Interface with producers, leads, and team members to coordinate audio needs and asset lists.
  • Play the game regularly and continually identify opportunities to improve audio quality.

Qualifications

  • Experience with music composition/music libraries
  • Proficiency with analog, digital audio gear
  • Knowledge of digital audio workstations 
  • Ability to work quickly and go through iterations

Pluses

  • FMOD Experience
  • Gaming experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge with Unreal Engine, the more experience with Unreal, the better!
  • Familiarity with Unreal Blueprints

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in audio production, preferably in the game industry.
  • Solid sound design and implementation skills.
